Meet Our Guest Knit Instructors

We're delighted to introduce to you our guest knit instructors!

PATTY LYONS

Knit Designer, Teacher and Author

PATTY LYONS is a North American recognized knitting teacher and technique expert who is known for teaching the “why” not just the “how” in her pursuit of training the “mindful knitter”. She specializes in sweater design and sharing her love of the much-maligned subjects of gauge and blocking.

Patty will join us for a live virtual 'Ask Patty' session.

NICOLE BISHOP aka Knicoleknits

YouTube Podcasters, Teacher

NICOLE is the creator of Knicoleknits, a YouTube knitting education channel devoted to pattern understanding, smart modifications, and making knitting work in real life  for real bodies, real wardrobes, and real attention spans.

Best known for her no-nonsense approach, dry sense of humor, and snarky side-kick, Oscar the Dog, Nicole teaches knitters how to think their way through patterns instead of following them blindly. Her focus is pattern hacking: adapting existing designs to fit your body, your preferences, and the way you actually wear knits — without turning every project into a full redesign.

Nicole will run two classes througout our Austrlaian journey - The Shawl Hack: How to Turn any Shawl Pattern into Something You'll Actually Wear AND Pattern Hacking for Fit - When the Pattern Doesn't Come in your Size.

MARK JAMIESON (JAMO DESIGNS)

Knit Designer, Teacher

JAMO operates a knit, design and yarn business in South Australia.  Getting lost in knitting provides a place of well needed peacve and sanctuary in his life.  JAMO's goal is not only to feed the passion in people who love the 'yarn arts' but also show others what magical healing powers knit craft has.

Jamo will join us for an in person Shadow Knits workshop where we'll discover the magic of shadow knitting.  In this fun, hands-on class, we'll create a mini shadow shawl sampler while learning how to read patterns, choose colours, and master Jamo's signature edging.
