To book your spot on this retreat, you will be required to submit the Booking Form AND your non-refundable deposit (use CREDIT CARD AUTHORISATION button).  A booking will not be confirmed until both have been received.

All applications will be time stamped and processed in the order they are received.  Due to the expected high demand, please allow upto  3 business days to confirm your reservation.

We apologise if the retreat sells out before we are able to get to your application. In the event we are unabe to confirm your booking, we will place you on the waitlist in case of any cancellations.

Unfortunately, we do not accept Diners.

Couples who book a room will have one bed.

Friends who book and want to shre a room will each have their own Twin Bed, except on Kangaroo Island where each guest will have their own room.

Solo travellers will have a room with one bed.

Yes, absolutely.  We expect to receive booking requests to share a room with another solo traveller.  We will do our best to pair you with another solo traveller - subject to availability.

If you wish to book a SINGLE occupancy stateroom, please note that we have a Single Room Rate.

Absolutely.  We have 4 x 3 hour knitting classes within the itinerary. This will be free time for all non-knitters.  All other activites are suitable for knitters and non-knitters alike.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer a non-knitter discount as the itinerary has been priced out based on knitter attendance.  In order to offer a  non-knitter discount, we would have needed to add this additional cost to the knitters who join us.

South Pacific Journeys is able to provide a quote for Allianz Insurance for Ontario residents.

If you reside outside of Ontario, please obtain a quote from your local travel insurance provider such as your Automotive Associatioin, your Bank, your Insurance Broker or local travel agency. 

IMPORTANT:  We recongise that credit card companies offer limited travel insurance coverage.  We do not view this coverage as adequate coverage.  If you plan to rely solely on this type of coverage, it is important that you compare coverage with a true Travel Insurance provider.  SPJ Retreats, South Pacific Journeys and Direct Travel assume no responsibility should a retreat participant find themselves in a situation in Australia where they need medical assistance and do not have adquate coverage.  Please do not place us in an awkward situation.

All travellers will require a passport to participate in this Knit Retreat.  Your passport will need to be valid until at least 06 March, 2027.

Australian Electronic Travel Authority:  All travellers, except Australian and New Zealand citizens, are required to obtain the appropriate travel authorization before departing for Australia. If you are eligible for an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA), you must apply through the Australian Government’s ETA app. Please note that fees apply. It is each traveller’s responsibility to ensure they have the correct travel documents and meet all Australian entry requirements before departure.If you are denied entry to Australia or arrive without the required travel documents, SPJ Retreats is unable to provide refunds for any unused or missed portion of the retreat. If you are travelling on a passport other than a U.S. or Canadian passport, please check with your local Australian consulate or high commission to confirm the entry requirements that apply to you. We strongly recommend checking your requirements well in advance of your departure date to ensure everything is in order for your trip.

If you travel via NZ, you will be required to obtain the NZeTA which is available on the official NZ government website or via the NZeTA APP.  Fees apply.

We recommend tipping our driver $5AUD per person per day - at the conclusion of our coach services.

Not all meals are included.

We have included 23 Breakfasts, 8 Lunches, 5 Dinners, 2 Morning Teas and 2 Afternoon Teas

All other meals are at your own expense.

If you have any food allergies or intolerances, please advise us at time of booking.

We will inform our inbound operator of all dietary requirements; however, we cannot guarantee that food preparation areas will be free from cross-contamination.

Guests with food allergies or intolerances acknowledge that their specific dietary needs may not always be accommodated.

We have designed this knit retreat so that everyone who wants to participate in a class/talk will be able to.  No one will miss out.

Comfortable, layered clothing adaptable to changing weather conditions is always advisable for daytime excursions. For the evening meals, smart casual is recommended.

No all accommodations offer complimentary wi-fi.  We will do our best to obtain a list of properties that either offer wifi free of charge, or possible offer free wifi for members.

We will advise arrival transfer time once we confirm it is fine to book your flights - we will have a single transfer from Melbourne to Bendigo on 17 July.  All guests will need to arrive in Melbourne by this time.

We have not included an arrival transfer in Adelaide on 06 July, 2027. 

We have not included a departure transfer in Sydney on 29 July, 2027.

We will check with all participants clsoer to departure if they would like SPJ Retreats to bookk a private transfer on their behalf.  This is not included in the retreat price.
