Pricing:


  • $8,439CAD per person based on double share (1 bed)

Our preferred method of payment is by credit card.  A secure digital credit card authorisation form is required for all credit card payments.  We also accept Cheque and E-Transfers (additional instructions for these forms of payment will be provided upon request).  Solo travellers who wish to share a room with another solo traveller (twin room) will be paired with another solo traveller who also wishes to share with another solo traveller.  If you are a solo traveller and we are unable to match you with another solo traveller, you will be responsible for paying the single share rate.



Deposit Required to Secure your Seat:


Initial non-refundable deposit of $1,300CAD per person is due at time of registration.

Final payment of balance will be due by no later than 03 April 2024.


This package does not include your international airfare from Canada to Edinburgh.  South Pacific Journeys will provide an airfare quotation if required.  We will be taking a maximum of 12 participants on this exciting Shetland Islands Knit Retreat.  A minimum number of 10 confirmed participants is required for this retreat to take place.  In the unlikely event we do not reach this minimum, South Pacific Journeys will contact those confirmed participants for options to proceed with a smaller group size (cost will differ).  If retreat is cancelled by South Pacific Journeys, a full refund will apply.


IMPORTANT NOTE ON ACCOMMODATION:  The Indigo Hotel Edinburgh Princes Street does not offer twin bedded rooms. Therefore, all participants will be booked in a Single Room except for couples who book a Double Room.  The package is priced accordingly.



Cancellation Policy for this Retreat:


  • Cancellations made by 02 April 2024 or earlier - loss of non-refundable deposit
  • Cancellations made on 03 April 2024 or later - 100% non-refundable

NOTE:  All cancellations must be received in writing.  Cancellations received on Saturdays, Sundays or on Public Holidays will be considered received on next business day and actioned on next business day.

  • Seat selection/baggage fees for any flights
  • Personal expenses such as laundry, telephone calls, mini-bar etc

  • Meals and beverages not specified as included in itinerary
  • Hotel porterage
  • Tips & Gratuities except for driver and included meals
  • Travel & Medical Insurance - must provide proof of coverage by final payment date.
  • Visa/Passport related fees
  • Excess Baggage Fees
  • Any fees related to possible COVID-19 testing/hospitalisation
  • Any unforeseen increase in local/government taxes or Fuel Surcharges
  • Any other items not specified as being included in itinerary



Trip Cancellation/Trip Interruption & Out of Country Emergency Medical Insurance Coverage:


South Pacific Journeys requires that all participants be adequately covered for Trip Cancellation/Trip Interruption and Emergency Out of Country Medical.  Please note we do not accept travel insurance offered by credit card companies as sufficient coverage for this trip.

South Pacific Journeys offers Manulife Travel Insurance.  Manulife's Cancel for Any Reason coverage will only be included in their Premium Protection Plan IF policy is purchased within 72 hours of booking tour seat on this retreat.  Some restrictions apply.



Passports:


Canadian citizens require a valid passport with at least 6 months validity beyond expected return date.  Canadian citizens do not currently require a visa to enter the United Kingdom. South Pacific Journeys or its agents assume no responsbility for participants not presenting the required documentation to enter the United Kingdom



Travel Agent's Responsibility:


South Pacific Journeys and Vision Travel Solutions and/or their agents, act as agents for the clients in matters pertaining to travel.  They assume no responsibility nor liability in connection with the service of any train, vessel, carriage, aircraft, motor or other conveyances which may be used, either wholly or in part in the performance of its duty to the passenger; neither will it be responsible for any act, error or omission, or any injury, loss accident, delay or irregularity engaged in conveying the passenger; or for any hotel proprietor, or hotel service, or for any other person engaged in carrying out the purpose for which tickets or coupons are issued.  In the event that it becomes necessary or advisable for alterations to be made to itinerary, we reserve the right to make changes.  Additional expenses, if any, shall be borne. by the passengers.  The Airlines concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission, or event, during the time passengers are not on sole contract between the Airlines and the purchaser of these tours and/or passenger.  The right is reserved to withdraw any or all tours should conditions warrant, also to decline or accept or retain any passengers as members of the tour.  South Pacific Journeys or agent can assume no responsibility for lost tickets or coupons.  South Pacific Journeys shall not be liable for any claims, losses, damages, costs, expenses, delays or loss of enjoyment of any nature or kind whatsoever, resulting from events beyond our or a supplier's reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, strikes, lockouts or other labour disputes or disruptions, wars, blockades, insurrections, riots, earthquakes, weather conditions, floods or act of restraints imposed by government authorities (such as lockdowns due to pandemics).  In the event the foreign currency exchange rate increases by more than 7%, South Pacific Journeys reserves the right to pass on this increased cost to each participant.  This is in accordance with current TICO (Travel Industry Council of Ontario) regulations.
