International Airfare (it is the traveller's responsibility to ensure they arrive in time for embarkation or sailing on Day 1). SPJ Retreats, Vision Travel nor Direct Travel assumes no responsibility for those travellers who are delayed or miss their cruise due to travel disruptions and/or flight cancellations. Please ensure you take out adequate travel insurance as SPJ Retreats, Vision Travelo nor Direct Travel will reimburse guests for out of pocket expenses due to delays or cancellations.

Cancellation Policy for this Retreat:

Cancellations made by 06 April 2027 or earlier - loss of non-refundable deposit ($2000CAD per person for twin share room.$4000CAD for single share room
Cancellations made on 07 April 2027 or later - 100% non-refundable

NOTE: All cancellations must be received in writing. Cancellations received on Saturdays, Sundays, on Public Holidays or outside our normal business hours (9am - 5pm Eastern time (Canada)) will be considered received on next business day and actioned on next business day.

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: In the unlikely event that any of our knit instsructors becomes unable to teach on our Knit Retreat, SPJ Retreats reserves the right to substitute their knitting classes with a suitable knit instructor. Cancellations by any of our Special Guests due to unforeseen circumstances are out of our control. By booking a spot on this retreat, you understand and accept that should it become necessary to change knit instructors, SPJ does so at their discretion and without refunds.

Trip Cancellation/Trip Interruption & Out of Country Emergency Medical Insurance Coverage:

SPJ Retreats requires that all participants be adequately covered for Trip Cancellation/Trip Interruption and Emergency Out of Country Medical. Please note we do not view travel insurance offered by credit card companies as sufficient coverage for this trip. South Pacific Journeys offers Allianz Travel Insurance for residents of Ontario. Guests who reside outside of Ontario will need to purchase travel insurance from an insurance provider in their home state/province. SPJ Retreats, Vision Travel nor Direct Travel assumes no responsibility for guests who miss embarkation due to travel delays or cancellations and will not reimburse guests for any delays, cancellations or missed components of this retreat. Please ensure you arrive early.

Passports:

Canadian, American and Australian citizens require a valid passport with at least 6 months validity beyond expected return date. Canadian, American and Australian citizens now require a EES (Entry/Exit System) to enter the European Union. This takes place with border services upon entry ito the EU. Canadian, American and Australian citizens also require an ETIAS (Europen Travel Inforamation and Authorisation System) to enter the EU. All other passport holders are required to ensure they meet all entry requirements. South Pacific Journeys, Vision Travel, Direct Travel or any of their agents assume no responsibility for participants not presenting the required documentation to enter the European Union. Refunds will not be granted to anyone who arrives in Hungary or an EU entry port without the required documentation.

Travel Agent's Responsibility:

SPJ Retreats, Vision Travel Solutions, Direct Travel and/or their agents, act as agents for the clients in matters pertaining to travel. They assume no responsibility nor liability in connection with the service of any train, vessel, carriage, aircraft, motor or other conveyances which may be used, either wholly or in part in the performance of its duty to the passenger; neither will it be responsible for any act, error or omission, or any injury, loss accident, delay or irregularity engaged in conveying the passenger; or for any hotel proprietor, or hotel service, or for any other person engaged in carrying out the purpose for which tickets or coupons are issued. In the event that it becomes necessary or advisable for alterations to be made to itinerary, we reserve the right to make changes. Additional expenses, if any, shall be borne. by the passengers. The Airlines concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission, or event, during the time passengers are not on sole contract between the Airlines and the purchaser of these tours and/or passenger. The right is reserved to withdraw any or all tours should conditions warrant, also to decline or accept or retain any passengers as members of the tour. What type of room do you want to book?

If you are booking a spot on our Budapest Pre-Cruise, you agree to add $500CAD to your non-refundable deposit due to secure your spot on our retreat.

Will you be travelling with a wheelchair? If yes, please read. Wheelchair accessibility is very limited on our European ships. We do have an elevator between the two main decks; however, it does not reach the Sun Deck or Piano Deck. Guests would be able to move around the dining room and lounge in their chair; however, the staterooms are not able to accommodate a wheelchair, so while in their stateroom they would need to be able to move around on their own. Their chair would also need to be stored in their stateroom due to limited storage on board. Getting on and off the ship could be a challenge, as the planks are narrow and cannot accommodate a wheelchair or scooter's width. Guests would have to be able to get on and off the ship without their wheelchair and the wheelchair would have to be light enough to be lifted off and on the ramps. It is common to tie up to other river ships in port. When this happens we would sometimes need to travel through another ship to disembark, with many ships requiring we do so from the Sun Deck, where there is only stair access.
